Principal's Message

Dear Fairbanks Family, I would like to extend a warm welcome to each of you as we look forward to our new school year. The staff and I are very excited to welcome all students back onto campus for regular full day live instruction. First day of School: Tuesday, August, 17th School Hours beginning August 17th, 2021 Breakfast: 7:15 AM - 7:40 AM (Breakfast will not be served after 7:40AM) School Starts: 7:45 AM (Warning Bell rings at 7:40- students line up on playground) School day ends: 2:27 PM (12:27 PM every Wednesday) Office ours are Monday through Friday 7:30am to 3:00pm. BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT: Monday, August 16th from 5:00pm - 6:00pm Information on your child’s teacher and class assignment can be accessed through the Twin Rivers Parent Portal begining August 6th. This system is used to provide school to home communication. You can view grades, assignments, attendance, announcements and send messages to teachers through the Parent Portal

Preschool

Fairbanks does not offer a preschool program. The nearest preschool programs are located at Del Paso Elementary, Morey Ave, Las Palmas, Hazel Strauch and Garden Valley. Our Smarter Lunchroom provides an opportunity for kids to make healthy choices in our cafeteria, with nutrition learning programs and activities.

After School Program

TRUSD’s Expanded Learning Program (After School Program) at Fairbanks Elementary provides after school programming in partnership with the Boys and Girls' Clubs of Greater Sacramento (GBC). The Expanded Learning Program for the 2021-22 school year will be for enrolled students only. Attendance and participation requirements will apply. Program dates and times will be covered during parent orientations. The program offers daily academic support and enrichment activities for students in grades K-6. You can enroll through the district website under Students & Families --> Special Projects --> Expanded Learning.
