WHO MAY ENROLL IN PRESCHOOL/CHILDCARE?

Most of our programs are designed for low income families. Our programs serve families who live in our school district with children who will be three years old on or before December 2 of the current school year.

PARENT'S ROLE IN PRESCHOOL

Preschool is a place for parents, children, and teachers to learn together. In order to have a quality program we need parent help in the classroom. We encourage parents to work in the classroom and attend parent education meetings at school.

HOW TO GET ENROLLMENT FORMS

You may pick up enrollment forms at your neighborhood preschool site office.

HOW TO TURN IN ENROLLMENT FORMS

Fill out the forms, sign, and date before your appointment. Please call the appropriate number located inside the packet to arrange a time for staff to review your completed packet. You must have a prearranged appointment to turn in your packet. We do not accept packets at any other time. Please bring only completed packets with required documents. We will not accept incomplete packets.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF MY CHILD IS ENROLLED IN A PART DAY PRESCHOOL?

You will recieve a letter or a notice of action in the mail if your child is approved. There will be information including the first day of school, the classroom number, teacher's name, time, and which meals will be provided.

The preschool hours at Fairbanks Elementary are from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. You may pick up an Enrollment Packet for Preschool any time in the Fairbaks Front Office.
